If all goes well, I’ll be heading to the ABC islands—Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao—in early February. While it won’t be a dedicated birding trip, I plan to make the most of the opportunity to see as many species as I can.

- Snowy Plover (Anarhynchus nivosus) (a bucketlist bird)
- Reddish Egret (Egretta rufescens)

Curaçao
- Better image of a Crested Caracara (Caracara plancus)
- Reddish Egret (Egretta rufescens) - if not successful in Bonaire
- Add to my Curaçao tally of 14 species
Aruba
- Burrowing Owl (Athene cunicularia) my must-see bird for this trip
