If all goes well, I’ll be heading to the ABC islands—Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao—in early February. While it won’t be a dedicated birding trip, I plan to make the most of the opportunity to see as many species as I can.

Goals and Target for the trip:
Bonaire
- Yellow-shouldered Amazon
(Amazona barbadensis)-Rincon close to Cadushy Distillery - Snowy Plover (Anarhynchus nivosus) (a bucketlist bird)
Reddish Egret (Egretta rufescens)- Clearly seen at my first birding stopAdd to my Bonaire tally of 22 species- added 27 more species, including 3 lifers
Curaçao
- Better image of a Crested Caracara (Caracara plancus) - missed
Reddish Egret (Egretta rufescens) - if not successful in Bonaire- seen in Bonaire- Add to my Curaçao tally of 14 species - added 13 more species
Aruba
Burrowing Owl (Athene cunicularia) my must-see bird for this tripgood looks and images- Add to my Aruba tally of 22 species - not quite, added 17 plus 1 lifier
